Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide postoperative care for general surgical patients on a 32-bed unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage pain, support patient mobility, and perform bedside procedures as part of comprehensive postoperative care
• Collaborate closely with hospitalists, family practice physicians, and surgical teams to coordinate patient care
• Maintain a comfortable and healing environment tailored to each patient's individual needs
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed
• Work every other weekend and holidays as required

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); must be verifiable through NURSYS
• Active AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
• Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license, with at least 1 recent year of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry
• Proficiency or ability to work with Meditech EMR
• Willingness to wear solid navy scrubs per dress code policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
• Prior experience in a general surgical postoperative care setting
• Comfort and flexibility with floating to multiple units or facilities
