Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting during day shift hours
- Monitor, assess, and respond to critically ill patients requiring intensive nursing intervention
- Float to Med/Surg unit as needed to support staffing requirements
- Participate in on-call shifts, including 24-hour call rotations, as outlined in the contract
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Must be a currently practicing ICU nurse with active ICU experience
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Willingness to float to Med/Surg as needed
- Ability to fulfill on-call requirements as part of the contract agreement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech 6.0 electronic medical records system
- Prior experience in a critical access or rural hospital environment
