Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmia interpretation, using bedside monitors with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capabilities
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
- Collaborate with charge nurses and support staff in a unit currently operating with 2 RNs and 1 tech per shift
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) if applicable
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing
- Active South Carolina RN license or active Compact RN license required prior to start date
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Proficiency or ability to learn Epic electronic health records system
- Availability to work every other weekend — non-negotiable
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a community hospital setting
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
