Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to labor and delivery patients within established nurse-to-patient ratios (1:2, 1:1, and 1:3 couplets)
- Deliver high-risk OB care and couplet care in an acute care hospital setting
- Participate in on-call requirements, including two 12-hour on-call shifts per six-week period
- Fulfill weekend rotation requirements every third weekend
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Adhere to emergency response protocols, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- AWHONN Beginner and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) and NRP certifications
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Advanced certification
- STABLE certification
- Experience with Omnicell medication management system
