Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) | Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed Telemetry Intermediate unit with a patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5
• Monitor and manage patients with common diagnoses including CHF, COVID pneumonia, Afib with RVR, tachy/brady syndrome, and syncope
• Administer and monitor telemetry drips including Cardizem, Lasix, renal dopamine, and nitroglycerin under central telemetry monitoring
• Manage patients on BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and Vapotherm (no ventilator management required)
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Float to other units as needed, maintaining the same 1:5 patient ratio

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN License (or confirmed application in progress)
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• Must comply with drug-free campus policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate adjustment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a telemetry, intermediate care, PCU, or stepdown unit setting
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Experience caring for cardiac patients including those with Afib, CHF, and syncope
• Comfort working alongside charge nurses who carry a patient assignment and tech support at a 1:9 ratio
