Contract | Days | 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available | Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to elderly residents with multiple diagnoses in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting
- Manage a patient census within an assigned unit, with day-shift ratios up to 1:21 (maximum 1:42)
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) system PCC to document patient care and maintain accurate records
- Participate in facility orientation, including time on the floor with existing staff
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support resident health, safety, and quality of life
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Dakota or a compact state license
- Experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting
- Ability to manage high patient ratios in a fast-paced care environment
- Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with PCC (PointClickCare) EMR system
- Experience caring for elderly patients with complex, multiple diagnoses
