Interventional Radiology Technologist

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | On-Site | 8 or 10-hour shifts available | Shift start time varies between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM | On-call required (approximately 2 days per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams and interventional procedures per established protocols
• Utilize PACS and EMR (EPIC) systems for documentation and imaging
• Maintain appropriate IV and contrast competency
• Follow established protocols for patient positioning, exposure control, and radiation protection
• Assist with general X-ray procedures when no interventional radiology procedures are scheduled
• Clean, stock, and inspect imaging rooms and departmental equipment

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois IEMA X-ray license required
• ARRT Certification in Radiology required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of technical radiographic experience
• Experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab required
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in an interventional radiology department
• Familiarity with Siemens imaging equipment
• ARRT Interventional Radiology certification (not required but a plus)
