Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a focus on orthopedic and bariatric patient populations
• Administer and manage medications using the Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Float to other like units or campuses as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete all required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting; first-time travelers must have a minimum of 3 years of specialty experience
• Minimum of 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Experience caring for orthopedic and bariatric patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience
