Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as a float nurse across medical, surgical, oncology, neuro, renal, and cardiology units within a short-term acute care facility
- Operate within a float pool model, calling in to receive unit assignments up to one hour before each scheduled shift start
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Utilize ceiling lifts, lift devices, and bladder scanners in accordance with facility protocols (training provided)
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Fulfill weekend rotation requirements (every other weekend or a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) and participate in holiday rotation
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Missouri or a qualifying compact state (Illinois license must be in hand at time of submittal; MO license may be pending at submission)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required by compliance deadline
- Demonstrated IV insertion competency required
- Telemetry competency required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
- Prior experience floating across multiple medical-surgical or specialty units
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
