Cath Lab / EP Technologist – Radiology/Cardiology

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (5x8 Hours, 6:45–15:15, Monday–Friday) | 13–26 Week Contracts Accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, stent placement, and PFO/ASD closures
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation, IV vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, thrombolytics, and other cardiac medications
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Impella, IABP, Swan-Ganz/Pulmonary Artery lines, and the GE Mac Lab system
- Perform sheath removal and monitoring, 12-lead EKG interpretation, ACT monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Circulate and scrub procedures as needed; float within or near the facility as required
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention, isolation precautions, and radiation safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- Experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings
- Proficiency with cardiac procedures including PCI, IABP placement/removal, and pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring
- Competency with IV therapy including blood product administration, IV infusion pumps, and starting IVs
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Active NC RN/Tech license or valid Compact license required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with advanced procedures such as TAVI/TAVR, Impella insertion, rotablader atherectomy, and ASD/cardiac implant closure devices
- Familiarity with vascular procedures including angioplasty, upper and lower extremity angiography, and dialysis graft interventions
- Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), topical hemostasis agents, and external compression devices
- Proficiency with ventilator monitoring, end-tidal CO2 monitoring, and hypothermia protocols
