Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (5x8 Hours, 6:45–15:15, Monday–Friday) | 13–26 Week Contracts Accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, stent placement, and PFO/ASD closures
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation, IV vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, thrombolytics, and other cardiac medications
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Impella, IABP, Swan-Ganz/Pulmonary Artery lines, and the GE Mac Lab system
• Perform sheath removal and monitoring, 12-lead EKG interpretation, ACT monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Circulate and scrub procedures as needed; float within or near the facility as required
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, isolation precautions, and radiation safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings
• Proficiency with cardiac procedures including PCI, IABP placement/removal, and pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Competency with IV therapy including blood product administration, IV infusion pumps, and starting IVs
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Active NC RN/Tech license or valid Compact license required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced procedures such as TAVI/TAVR, Impella insertion, rotablader atherectomy, and ASD/cardiac implant closure devices
• Familiarity with vascular procedures including angioplasty, upper and lower extremity angiography, and dialysis graft interventions
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), topical hemostasis agents, and external compression devices
• Proficiency with ventilator monitoring, end-tidal CO2 monitoring, and hypothermia protocols
