Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 18:45–07:15) | 13-Week Contract | 36 Hours per Week | 8 Weekend Shifts Required per Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care on an LDRP unit, managing both labor patients and couplet care (mother and newborn) as assigned
• Circulate in the OR for cesarean section deliveries and recover post-operative patients in the PACU
• Perform antepartum care including NST, triage of obstetrical patients, sterile vaginal exams, external and internal fetal monitoring, and use of EFM and IUPC
• Administer and monitor medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, antihypertensives, anticoagulants, insulin drips, prostaglandins, and terbutaline; manage IV therapy and blood product administration
• Provide postpartum care including fundus/lochia/perineum assessment, breastfeeding and lactation support, episiotomy/incisional care, and discharge teaching to parents
• Perform newborn assessments, APGAR scoring, neonatal care in the delivery room, phototherapy, metabolic screening, and hypoglycemia management

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with demonstrated proficiency in both Labor and Delivery and Couplet Care (Mother/Baby)
• Experience with LDRP or couplet care settings required; ability to manage labor patients and mother-baby couplets interchangeably
• Competency in IV insertion, peripheral IV maintenance, infusion pump management, phlebotomy, and telemetry
• Experience with surgical procedures including C-section circulation, PACU recovery, cervical cerclage, D&C, and tubal ligation
• Active certifications: AWHONN Beginner or Intermediate, BLS/BCLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and NRP
• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS and/or AWHONN Advanced certification
• Experience with obstetrical triage
• Familiarity with EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR documentation systems
