Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Med-Surg Oncology patients, including those receiving chemotherapy, undergoing diagnostic services, and requiring symptom management related to disease treatment or progression
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias for patients on telemetry (GE B450 monitors)
• Manage and maintain central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, and implanted ports, including blood product administration
• Implement and uphold infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Operate specialized equipment including Alaris pumps, bladder scanners, and Stryker beds; assist with chest tube insertion/removal and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license — compact or Ohio state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BCLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Familiarity with GE telemetry systems and related monitoring equipment
