Contract | Temp-to-Hire | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Friday, Saturday, Sunday | Holiday Rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap of surgical instruments and equipment
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential assignment to alternate campuses
- Support a high-volume Level I Trauma Center environment across a range of surgical specialties
- Participate in holiday rotation and inclement weather response teams as assigned by management
- Adhere to strict attendance and punctuality standards per facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sterile processing technician experience required — first-time travelers not accepted
- Level I Trauma Center experience required>
- Hands-on experience in sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly/wrapping required
- Active CBSPD and/or HSPA national certification required
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedic, Transplant, or GYN surgical cases
- Familiarity with teaching facility and Magnet-designated hospital environments
- Ability to adapt to floating assignments across multiple campuses or units
