Contract | Temp-to-Hire | Evening Shift (5x8s, 15:00–23:30) | Rotating Weekends | Holiday Rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap of surgical instruments and equipment
- Support surgical services across a high-volume Level I Trauma Center and teaching facility environment
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential assignment to alternate campuses or departments
- Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
- Adhere to inclement weather team assignments and emergency response protocols, including hurricane season emergency response team assignments (June–November)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Sterile Processing Technician experience
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Demonstrated experience in sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly/wrapping
- National certification required: CBSPD and/or HSPA
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedic, Transplant, and/or GYN surgical cases
- Familiarity with working in a Magnet-designated hospital environment
- Experience floating across multiple campuses or sister facilities
