Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Temp-to-Hire | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Friday, Saturday, Sunday | Holiday Rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap of surgical instruments and equipment
- Support surgical services across a high-volume Level I Trauma Center environment
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential assignment to alternate campuses or departments
- Participate in holiday rotation and inclement weather response team assignments as directed by management
- Adhere to strict attendance, punctuality, and conduct standards as outlined by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sterile processing technician experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Hands-on experience in sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly/wrapping required
- National certification required: CBSPD and/or HSPA
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of candidate submission; no RTO will be approved after contract is signed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedic, Transplant, or GYN surgical cases
- Familiarity with teaching hospital or Magnet-designated facility environments
- Ability to adapt to floating assignments across multiple campuses or care settings
