Cardiac Sonographer (Echocardiography)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts with variable start times (6:00 AM–8:30 AM); no nights, no weekends, no holidays, no on-call

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced echocardiographic studies including contrast and bubble studies, strain imaging, and advanced pathology assessments
• Conduct post-procedural imaging for TAVR and MitraClip patients
• Perform stress echocardiography with working knowledge of stress test protocols
• Utilize 3D imaging techniques as part of the echocardiography workflow
• Document and manage studies within EPIC EMR and PACS systems
• Maintain high standards of image quality, scanning technique, and efficiency within a highly advanced cardiac sonography team

Required Qualifications

• Active RDCS or RCS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Demonstrated experience with complicated cardiac pathology and advanced echocardiographic assessments
• Experience with contrast studies, bubble studies, strain imaging, post-TAVR, and MitraClip imaging
• In-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy and pathology
• Must candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be subject to a local rate adjustment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with 3D echocardiographic imaging
• Ability and willingness to start IVs (training available for motivated candidates who lack this skill)
• Prior experience working in a high-acuity or high-volume cardiac imaging environment
