Contract | 12-hour rotating shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Medical Surgical and Surgical Oncology patients within a 47-bed unit
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age- and population-specific standards appropriate to the clinical setting
• Operate unit equipment including EMR (Epic), AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Philips monitors, and Telemetry
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
• Float to other Medical Surgical units across campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience in a larger hospital (200+ beds, Level 2 or higher trauma center)
• Travel nursing experience required, unless candidate has extensive experience in a large Level 1 facility
• Active North Dakota RN license or compact state RN license required (please indicate issuing state)
• BLS certification required – must be American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be considered at a local travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Surgical Oncology patients
• Familiarity with AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Philips monitors, and Telemetry equipment
