Full-Time | Direct Hire | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | No weekends, on-call, or holiday requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Microscopically examine gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens to identify cancerous, pre-cancerous cells, and other pathologic findings
- Screen a designated volume of Pap specimens daily as part of routine workflow
- Assist in obtaining diagnostic quality samples and provide feedback during fine needle aspiration procedures
- Work across multiple service areas including pulmonary, interventional radiology, and endocrine cases
- Collaborate closely with pathologists and physicians in a high-volume academic setting
- Following training, may rotate independently to satellite campus locations
Required Qualifications
- Cytotechnologist (CT) ASCP certification required, or eligible (position contingent upon passing certification)
- Bachelor of Science degree required
- Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment working alongside proceduralists
- New graduates are welcome to apply
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ROSE (Rapid On-Site Evaluation) procedures in procedure room settings
- Familiarity with fine needle aspiration (FNA) procedures
- Prior exposure to a high-volume or academic laboratory environment
