Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care in a Level II Trauma Center setting following ASPAN standards
• Care for a diverse patient population including pediatric (1 year and older), adult, and geriatric patients
• Support same-day surgery, inpatient admissions, and observation patients across a broad range of surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, neuro/spine, cardiovascular, thoracic, trauma, and more
• Chart accurately and efficiently using EPIC
• Float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of PACU or pre/post-operative RN experience
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties including pediatric, bariatric, interventional radiology, and cardiovascular procedures
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
• Demonstrated ability to float and adapt across multiple care settings
