Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care for a diverse patient population including pediatric (1 year and older), adult, and geriatric patients recovering from same-day surgeries and inpatient admissions
• Recover patients following procedures requiring general anesthetics and/or spinal anesthesia across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, neuro/spine, cardiovascular, thoracic, trauma, and more
• Support cardiovascular lab procedures requiring anesthesia, including complex cases; on occasion, perform pre-op care for ICU patients
• Operate across a 29-bay PACU spanning two floors, adhering to ASPAN standards
• Float between units or sister facilities as needed; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Expected weekly hours: 35 hours per week (70 hours per 2-week period)
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of candidate submittal; post-offer RTO may not be considered or granted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification preferred
• Experience recovering patients from complex cardiovascular or high-acuity procedures (e.g., TAVRs, EP cases, Watchman procedures)
• Familiarity with Level II Trauma Center environments and high-volume, multi-specialty surgical settings
