Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate-level nursing care for a diverse patient population including stroke, heart failure, respiratory failure, renal failure, GI bleed, post-surgical patients, and those requiring cardiac monitoring and management
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias; manage cardiac drips (no titration) and heparin protocols
• Perform IV therapy skills including central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, and peripheral line care
• Manage respiratory support including high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), non-invasive airway management, and interpretation of ABGs
• Fulfill weekend requirements of 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday); holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed
• Float between departments, units, and facilities as needed to meet patient care demands; both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or a compact license covering both states) is required at time of submission

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; both Kansas and Missouri licensure or a compact license valid in both states required at time of submission — pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers are welcome
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry/cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and intermediate care nursing skills
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience in PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Neuro Stepdown, or ER Holding settings
• Skills in vasoactive drip management (no titration), PCA, port access, chest tubes, external CPAP/BiPAP, tracheostomy management, and traumatic brain injury care
• Experience with orthopedic trauma and total joint replacements
