Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend expected
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and demonstrate strong dysrhythmia recognition skills
- Manage patients on critical drips and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Float to Med/Surg, ICU (for border patients), and the Emergency Department (for ED holds) as needed
- Document accurately using the Expanse EMR system
- Operate unit equipment including GE cardiac monitoring systems and Hospira IV pumps
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; active Compact (multi-state) RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a hospital setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS (NIAH) certification required
- Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills and critical drip experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization patient care experience
- Pacer patient care experience
- Prior experience within HCA-affiliated facilities
