Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Free Standing Emergency Department)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Travel | 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM | Rotating Weekends | No Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 11-bed Free Standing Emergency Department setting
• Perform IV starts and 12-lead EKG interpretation as part of routine patient assessment
• Operate and monitor ventilator and point-of-care lab equipment as needed
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with a small, close-knit team (typically 1 CNC and 1 RN per shift) to deliver high-quality emergency care
• Rotate weekend shifts as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Proficiency with IV starts and 12-lead EKG/patient assessment
• Ability to work 12-hour mid shifts (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM), including rotating weekends
• No on-call requirements for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Familiarity with ventilator management and point-of-care lab equipment
