Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 14-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Operate and manage IV infusion therapy using Alaris pumps
• Document and manage patient records using the MEDITECH electronic medical record system
• Assist with or support procedures including bronchoscopy and EGD/colonoscopy as needed on the unit
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PCTs and a charge nurse coordinator on night shift
• Participate in rotating weekend assignments as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Experience working in a travel RN capacity
• Flexible, team-oriented personality well-suited to a collaborative unit environment
