Registered Nurse – ICU / Critical Care Float Pool

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Weekend days (Friday/Saturday) plus one weekday shift

Key Responsibilities

• Float to all ICUs within the health system, including MICU, SICU, NCCU, CVICU, and Cardiology/Diagnostics units
• Provide critical care nursing for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, and heart)
• Perform interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Deliver specialized care in Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, and post-cardiac surgery settings (not directly from the OR)
• Float to other units within the broader organization as needed when critical care census does not require coverage

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience with flexibility to float to all ICU units
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Demonstrated skills in Medical Intensive Care, Neuro Intensive Care, and Surgical Intensive Care settings
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in CVICU or post-cardiac surgery patient care
• Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated adaptability across multiple ICU environments
• Familiarity with transplant patient care (kidney, liver, lung, heart)
