Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate therapeutic groups and provide 1:1 connection with assigned pediatric behavioral health patients, including high-risk and acute cases requiring sitter supervision on the inpatient unit or in the Emergency Department
• Perform nursing interventions for chronic and acute mental health diagnoses with applicable documentation in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR); Epic experience preferred
• Administer medications and manage admissions and discharges
• Attend rounds and represent patient information to the interdisciplinary team, including patient and family education
• Assist with ADLs (meal supervision, bathing, toileting, laundry) and engage patients in recreational activities
• Complete regular safety checks and maintain consistent compliance with behavioral personal protective equipment; participate in physical holds/restraints as required and complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training within the first month of the contract

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid Ohio single-state or compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric/behavioral health specialty
• Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Pediatric (PEDS) experience is required
• Physically able to lift 25 lbs and participate in therapeutic physical holds/restraints
• Must be fully vaccinated, including COVID-19; no exemptions accepted
• 2 manager references required within the past 12 months at time of submission
• No previous license disciplinary history
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local; local rates apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with bipolar, anxiety, eating, psychotic, and depressive disorders
• Previous training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)
• Prior Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training
• Previous charge nurse experience
