Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret telemetry/cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias
• Administer medications accurately and in accordance with facility protocols
• Apply knowledge of critical pathways to support patient care planning and outcomes
• Float to like units and overflow areas as needed based on census and staffing demands
• Must pass a facility-administered ECG/Telemetry and Medications competency exam (85% passing score, one attempt only, no remediation or re-sit permitted) prior to assignment start

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry experience
• Current AHA BLS Certification required
• Current AHA ACLS Certification required
• Documented professional development activities
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience
• Strong familiarity with dysrhythmia recognition and management
