Occupational Therapist (OT)
Primary Purpose: To assess, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions that promote students' independence and participation in educational activities, ensuring alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

- Pay: Starting at $51

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or beyond
- Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) OT Licensure
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in a school-based setting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Evaluations: Students are assessed to determine their physical, sensorimotor and developmental needs. Referrals are initiated by members of the educational team and evaluations are completed upon consent from the student’s parent(s) or guardian.
- Intervention and Collaboration: The therapists support education by working with teams to:
- Create goals to support educational access and success.
- Adapt classroom environments and equipment.
- Design activities to enhance independence with school routines.
- Provide intervention that will improve function.
- Collaborate with teams to optimize academic success and participation.
- Monitor Progress: Regularly evaluate and document students' progress toward therapy goals.
- Provide Direct Services: Deliver therapy sessions as outlined in students' IEPs.
- Participate in IEP Meetings: Contribute to the development and review of IEPs, providing insights into students' occupational therapy needs.
