Therapist - Respiratory Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in a variety of settings, including Inpatient, ICU/Adult Care, and PICU (with strong PEDS and NICU level III experience preferred) • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and medication administration • Conduct pulmonary function tests and other diagnostic procedures as needed • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans • Participate in code blue responses and other emergency situations as needed

Requirements:

• Current RRT certification • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification • Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy • Prior travel experience preferred • Teaching hospital experience required • Epic experience within the past 2 years • Strong documentation of work history, including NICU levels and specialties worked

• Reliable transportation is required, as public transportation is not accessible in the area • Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November to April • All work history information must be complete and accurate • Employment gaps over 30 days must be explained • Covid and Flu declinations accepted with proof or declination documentation
