We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Applewood Rehabilitation Center. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their goals and maintain their independence in a warm and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct occupational therapy assessments and evaluations to identify residents' needs and goals • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote residents' participation in daily activities and improve their functional abilities • Provide hands-on therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and adaptations, to enhance residents' mobility, balance, and range of motion • Collaborate with occupational therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques to maintain independence and manage chronic conditions • Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident progress and treatment plans
Requirements:
• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant Studies from an accredited program • Completion of a clinical internship or practicum in occupational therapy • Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTR/A) in the state of New Hampshire • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
