Job Summary

We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at BSWH McLane Children's Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in PICU, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the growth and development of our unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs
  • Create, implement, and evaluate care plans, adjusting them as needed to achieve desired outcomes
  • Build relationships, manage discomfort, and maintain professionalism in therapeutic connections with patients and families
  • Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members on healthcare choices and needs
  • Assess and document learning needs regularly and work with colleagues and community to create care plans
  • Delegate tasks carefully, follow up promptly, and use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff
  • Recognize limitations, prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery
  • Achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, and commit to growth
  • Contribute to peers' development, show community service commitment, and embody our Core Values

Requirements

  • Grad of an Accredited Program with a Specialized field of study in Nursing
  • RN License
  • BLS Certification (or obtain within 30 days of starting the role)

Schedule

  • Full-time, Nights (7P-7A), 36 hours per week
