Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical/Tele team at our Main Campus Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced medical-surgical setting. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in a medical-surgical setting, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams. • Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms, and interpret ECG results to identify potential issues. • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, and communicate effectively with patients and families. • Participate in code situations and other emergency responses as needed. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, and contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience. • 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for prior to travel assignments. • Permanent Ohio license or Compact State license in hand. • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification. • Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition test and complete safeMedicate training during orientation. • Ability to work at least every other holiday.
Work Schedule:
• Day/Night rotating shift: 7pm-7:30am/7am-7:30pm (shift typically consists of 2 weeks D, 2 weeks N if needed to meet operational needs). • Facility will do their best to honor traveler's preferred shift, but reserve the right to rotate them if necessary.
