We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population of patients, utilizing your knowledge and skills to address their physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care that is tailored to the unique needs of each patient, including post-op surgical, trauma, overflow medical, dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, and other procedures • Collaborate with other patient care providers to ensure comprehensive care and communication • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on self-care and home care procedures • Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and make informed decisions • Demonstrate knowledge of nursing practice and theory, as well as principles of growth and development • Participate in unit-specific training and orientation programs, including EPIC EMR and professional development

Requirements:

• 2 years of RN experience • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of [State] • Certification in areas such as ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, and others (requirements may vary) • Ability to work flexible shifts, including 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and holidays • Ability to float to other units and departments, with prior approval from management

Unit-Specific Training and Orientation:

• Comprehensive training program, including:

• Preceptorship with a experienced RN
• 12-hour shift orientation for EPIC EMR and professional development
• Unit-specific training and orientation

Work Environment:

• 54-bed Medical Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5 RNs per day and 5-6 RNs per night • Private rooms with a variety of bed sizes • Dress code: Scrubs, any color
