Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Hematology Oncology team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to adult patients with various diagnoses, including lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute and chronic leukemias, and sickle cell disease. • Participate in chemotherapy administration, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and oncologic emergencies, such as tumor lysis syndrome and cytokine release syndrome. • Manage insulin drips, heparin drips, and feeding tubes, with a strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls. • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. • Administer medications, including blood products, IV therapy, and peripheral line care. • Perform central line blood draws, PICC line management, and IV therapy administration. • Utilize computerized charting systems, such as EPIC, to document patient information and track progress. • Participate in Rapid Response Teams and utilize telemetry skills to monitor patients. • Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the state of employment. • BLS and ACLS certifications required. • MS/Tele and telemetry experience preferred. • Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and use telemetry skills to monitor patients. • Experience with Rapid Response Teams and computerized charting systems. • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Work Environment:
