Tech - CT Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Technologist (Tech) to join our team at Grady Memorial Hospital. As a Tech - CT, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform computed tomography (CT) scans according to established protocols and guidelines • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hospital policies and regulations • Assist with the preparation of patients for CT scans, including positioning and positioning adjustments as needed • Operate and maintain CT scanners, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the designated supervisor • Participate in quality control activities, including quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives • Provide support to other Techs and control room staff as needed

Requirements:

• Current ARRT CT certification • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • Ability to lift patients weighing up to 500 pounds, as needed • Basic life support (BLS) certification required

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • May be required to work in a hospital setting, including exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials • Must be able to lift patients weighing up to 500 pounds, as needed

Shift Details:

• 12-hour night shifts, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday • Shift hours: 7pm-7:30am
