Job Title: Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant (PRN)
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team on a part-time, as-needed (PRN) basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality support to our physical therapists in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist physical therapists with patient assessments, treatments, and exercises, ensuring a comprehensive and personalized approach to care. • Conduct patient interviews, take medical histories, and gather relevant information to inform treatment plans. • Develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with physical therapists, taking into account patient goals, progress, and feedback. • Assist with patient mobilization, transfers, and positioning, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and communication with other healthcare professionals. • Perform various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, preparing treatment rooms, and maintaining equipment. • Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and continuing education requirements to maintain expertise and provide high-quality care.
Qualifications:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Studies or related field. • Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of employment. • 1+ year of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in a clinical or hospital environment. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. • Basic life support (BLS) certification and ability to maintain current certification.
