Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Shift: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Location: 3420 Ft Worth St., Corpus Christi, TX 78411

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 9 • Number of Staff: 22.41 • Staff Type: • Day Shift: 16 FT, 1 PT, 2 pending RN Residents, 5 PRN team members, and one OR analyst • Night Shift: Zero • Patient Ratios: OR 1:1 • Type of Equipment: Brain Lab, Davinci, Microscope • EMR: Meditech

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse - Operating Room to join our team. As a key member of our OR team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care during surgical procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care • Monitor and maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment, adhering to unit guidelines and policies • Perform various medical procedures, including neurosurgery, urology, general surgery, colorectal, plastics, podiatry, ent, and ortho • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure • Current CST certification (preferred) • 1 year of experience in an operating room setting (required)

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day • Call shifts are mandatory based on unit needs • Weekend call is 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am • Weekday call is 3pm to 7am

Travel Information:

This is a 13-week travel assignment. The projected start date is July 21, 2025.
