Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse - Operating Room to join our team. As a member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in providing patient care in the operating room, working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other personnel to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and efficient preparation of patients for surgery, including verifying patient information and preparing necessary documentation • Collaborate with surgical teams to develop and implement patient care plans, adhering to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards • Supervise and assist with scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgical cases • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including updating physician preference cards and scrub reports • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction

Requirements:

• Current AL RN license • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (through American Heart Association) • 4 years of recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting • Experience in OR Circulator with Endoscopy experience preferred • Facility specialties: Endoscopy, Orthopedic, General, ENT, GYN experience preferred

Work Schedule:

• 6:30am to 3pm, Monday through Friday • Call 10 days a month, including taking call over weekends twice a month
