Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Title: Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown Job Type: Full-time, Contract Location: Columbus, OH Schedule: No Shift, Rotating Schedule (12 days/night, 12 days/week) Unit Information: * Medical Oncology with progressive care beds and pediatric patients * High acuity PCU and small amount of med surg * 36 bed Oncology Telemetry unit with over 24 beds dedicated to PCU level of care Patient Diagnoses: * Solid Tumor * Orthopedic Oncology * Thoracic Oncology Special Equipment: * B450 monitors * GE telemetry system * Bladder Scanner * Alaris pumps * Stryker beds * Continuous Bladder Irrigation * PCA Pumps Requirements: * 2 years of oncology experience preferred * Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), ACLS, and NIH * Ratio: 1:4-5 Med Surg Telemetry, 1:3 PCU * Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity * Previous travel experience preferred Skills Required: * Interpretation of dysrhythmias * Use of rapid response teams * Feeding tube care and management * Accessing Ports * Blood Product Administration * Central line care/management * Peripheral Line Care/Management * PICC line management * Starting IVs * Heparin Protocols * Manage Cardia drips (no titration) * PCA * Titrate Cardiac drips * Chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac) * External CPAP/BIPAP * High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) * Interpretation of ABGs * Nasal Cannula * Tracheostomy Management Skills Preferred: * Management of dysrhythmias * IV insulin protocols * Titration of Insulin drips * Phlebotomy * Chemotherapy Administration * Monitoring Chemotherapy * Wound Care/Wound Vac * Arterial line management * Surgical drains * Non-invasive airway management Benefits: * Opportunities for professional growth and development * Flexible scheduling with self-schedule requests * Comprehensive benefits package Orientation and Training: * First week: Monday to Friday dayshift orientation * Second week: 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor
