**Travel Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown** **Location:** Salem, VA **Schedule:** Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA. This is a travel opportunity for a 13-week assignment. **Job Summary:** As a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, including those with cardiac rhythms and surgical patients. You will be responsible for managing cardiac rhythms, administering medications, and performing various procedures, such as chest tube management and epidurals. **Key Responsibilities:** * Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment * Manage cardiac rhythms and surgical patients * Administer medications and perform procedures, such as chest tube management and epidurals * Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans * Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team * Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes **Requirements:** * Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia * 2+ years of experience in a PCU or similar setting * Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and surgical patients * Experience with chest tube management and epidurals * Strong teamwork and communication skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high patient turnover **Preferred Qualifications:** * BLS and ACLS certification * Experience with critical care procedures, such as post cardiac cath and EP studies * Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs), such as Meditech **What We Offer:** * Competitive pay rate * Opportunities for professional growth and development * Collaborative and supportive work environment * Comprehensive benefits package If you are a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
