Registered Nurse PACU

Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU

Location: St. Louis, MO

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) environment • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions • Monitor and manage patients' vital signs, medical conditions, and medications • Administer medications, fluids, and other treatments as needed • Participate in code blue and trauma activations as required

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in critical care, inpatient, or Level I Trauma Center settings • Current BLS certification • ACLS certification • Dysrhythmia recognition and management skills • Blood product administration skills • Phlebotomy skills • Starting IVs and IV vasopressors • ICP monitoring skills • Care of ventilated patients

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous experience in a PACU or similar setting • Knowledge of surgical specialties, such as neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology • Experience with artificial airways, invasive monitoring, transfusions, and vasoactive drugs
