Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Monitor and report patient status, including vital signs, lab results, and other relevant information to ensure timely and effective interventions
• Educate patients' families and caregivers on proper care techniques, medications, and equipment use
Required Qualifications
• At least 2 years of RN experience in the NICU, level III or higher
• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
• RN- Registered Nurse
• BLS- Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
• NRP- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (required within 30 days of hire)
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with electronic medical records and other clinical software
• Knowledge of pediatric and neonatal pharmacology and therapeutics
• Certification in a specialized area of neonatal care, such as CCRN-NP or CEN-P
