**Registered Nurse - Endoscopy/GI** **Location:** Salem, VA **Schedule:** Days, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM **Job Type:** Travel, General We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Endoscopy department at LewisGale Medical Center. **About the Unit:** * 4-bed unit with 4 Endoscopy Procedure Rooms * Staff of approximately 25, primarily consisting of RNs, scrub techs, and scope room techs * Day shift with occasional night shifts and on-call responsibilities * Patient ratios: approximately 20-30 patients per weekday **Responsibilities:** * Admit patients, circulate, and scrub in procedural cases * Recover and discharge patients * Utilize Olympus scopes, Provation procedural documentation, and EMR (Meditech) **Requirements:** * 2 years of RN experience * Must have: + Strong clinical skills and knowledge of endoscopy procedures + Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment + Comfortable with frequently changing situations + Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively with others * Preferred or nice to have: + PACU or ICU experience + Experience with EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy procedures **Certifications:** * BLS (Basic Life Support) * ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) **Work Environment:** * Hospital issued scrubs and surgical attire policy * No visible piercings * Weekday and weekend call required for all staff, including PRN **Project Details:** * Duration: 13 weeks * Projected Start Date: August 11, 2025 * Worksite: 1900 Electric Road, Salem, VA 24153
