Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU
Location: State College, PA
Schedule: Days
Key Responsibilities:
• Provides professional nursing care to treat human responses to life-threatening problems for the pediatric through geriatric age population, based on the American Association of Critical Care Nursing (AACN) Standards. • Conducts ongoing assessments for all critically ill patients to promote optimal outcome and prioritizes patient problems/needs according to the actual/potential threat. • Develops and implements a plan of care based on ongoing assessments, including discharge planning and appropriate referrals. • Manages life-threatening complications of critically ill patients per Mount Nittany Medical Center policies and procedures and based on AACN standards. • Maintains an awareness of professional issues, updates knowledge and clinical skills on an ongoing basis, and remains current on concepts, trends, scientific advances, biomedical equipment, and ethics relating to Critical Care Nursing.
Required Qualifications:
• Licensure, certification, and registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) • Current certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or equivalent
Preferred Experience / Skills:
• Experience in ICU nursing, preferably in a pediatric or adult population • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
