Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele
Location Columbus, OH
Schedule / Job Type: Part-time, contract
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality patient care to patients with various medical surgical needs, including continuous cardiac monitoring, symptom management, and comorbidity management. • Manage patients with soft tissue malignancies, receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management, while implementing infection prevention protocols and preventing patient falls. • Interpret dysrhythmias, access ports, and manage arterial lines, blood products, central lines, PICC lines, and IV starts. • Assist with chest tube insertions and removals, as well as high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management. • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required • Certifications: BCLS • Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity • Previous travel experience preferred • Epic experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills:
• Previous experience in medical surgical/tele units • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) • Strong communication and teamwork skills
