Job Title: Cath Lab/EP Tech
Location: Springfield, IL
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days
Key Responsibilities: • Perform cardiac catheterizations, including diagnostic and interventional procedures • Set up and maintain equipment, including angiography machines and fluoroscopy units • Interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs) and other diagnostic tests to identify cardiac conditions • Place and manage intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs) and other life-support devices • Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans for patients
Required Qualifications: • Minimum 1 year of experience as a cardiac cath lab technician • Current ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS certifications • Active license to practice as a cardiac cath lab technician in the state of Illinois • Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system
Preferred Experience / Skills: • Experience with cardiac implant closure devices, stent placement, and other interventional procedures • Knowledge of percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) • Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and other cardiac conditions • Experience with scrub procedures and equipment setup in a fast-paced cardiac cath lab environment
