Registered Nurse CVICU
Job Title: Registered Nurse - CVICU Location: San Antonio, TX Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 13 weeks contract
Key Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality patient care in a Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting • Conduct hemodynamic monitoring, swan-ganz catheter placement, and ventilator management • Utilize strong critical thinking skills to make informed decisions regarding patient care • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in a timely manner
Required Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in ICU settings • Current ACLS and BLS certifications • NIH required • Active TX RN License • Proficiency in Meditech charting and order entry
Preferred Experience / Skills: • IABP and CRRT exposure • Experience with cardiac support devices (IABP, Impella, ecmo) • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
