Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Houston, TX 77090 (Main Campus)

Job Type: Travel, 13-week assignment

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Every other weekend required

Unit Information:

• Trauma II, functioning as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and Pathway to Excellence
• 50 beds, with a patient ratio of 4:1
• Equipped with GE Monitors and Belmont Rapid Infuser

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team on a temporary basis. As a Registered Nurse - Emergency Room, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, and contribute to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment
• Provide trauma and ED procedures, including medication administration and vital sign monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment options
• Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the Meditech EMR system
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the state of Texas
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Trauma experience and Meditech experience preferred
