Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert nursing care to obstetric patients, including those requiring maternal-fetal monitoring, labor, delivery, and management of high-risk pregnancies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered, family-focused maternity care.
• Administer appropriate interventions during labor, delivery, and postpartum, adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on self-care, procedures, and health management during the perinatal period.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and maintain compliance with regulatory and quality assurance standards.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and promote a respectful, compassionate care environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid State Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR certification; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of obstetric nursing practices, growth and development principles, and patient safety standards.
• Ability to assess patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to support patients, families, and team members.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physical patient handling tasks.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• 1+ year of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Certification in Obstetric Nursing (e.g., RNC-Obstetrics) is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a high-volume obstetric unit and proficiency with related medical equipment.
