Job Title: Surgical Tech
Location: Charleston, SC
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Day shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgical procedures across a variety of specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics.
• Prepare operating rooms and ensure sterile environments for surgeries.
• Support surgeons and nursing staff during procedures as a scrub or circulating technician.
• Maintain compliance with safety, radiation, and hospital policies.
• Manage surgical instruments and equipment, including robotic systems (e.g., DaVinci Xi).
• Document procedures accurately in electronic health records system.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTSA (NCCT not accepted).
• BLS certification required.
• Radiation badge, must be provided prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience.
• Experience in neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), robotics, and trauma cases highly preferred.
• Ability to float within scope to meet department needs.
• Willingness to work 3x12-hour shifts, days, with holiday rotation and up to 2 weekend call shifts every 4 weeks.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with complex cases such as transplants and burn surgeries.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system.
• Previous experience in a Level I trauma and teaching hospital environment.

• RTO requests must be included at submission and are subject to approval based on facility needs.
